This is a great unit for the price, it is very stable, moves air well, and is super quiet. I notice what I like most is with it close to the ground, it pulls the coolest air possible and blows it right up your shirt. I must say that this Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900 is VERY impressive. I've owned this fan for well over 4 years ... and it works just as good as day 1.

We bought this  Lasko Pro Performance High Velocity Blower Utility Fan Model 4900 to blow air up the stairs to help keep the upstairs cool without having to run the separate upstairs AC unit. It works great. The air stream, even on the 1st setting, is so strong and focused that you can stand at the top of the stairs and feel the current. Nice low-noise operation, too. Fans with blades just won't do the job. Anywhere you want a good, focused flow of air, this is the ticket.

The lasko 4900 blower fan power cord is a large grounded version that is about 8' long. The angle (height) can be adjusted. It pulls air in from the side so if you are trying to pull in fresh air, it will need to be sat back a little farther than a standard fan with blades.

Noise, while present, is not excessive. The sound is a constant and doesn't consist of any clicking or rattling noises that would become annoying. I read hundreds of product reviews every year and have for 10 years, but almost never write one.

Lasko Pro Performance High Velocity Blower Fan Model 4900 turned out the same fan was quietest and most powerful! I winced a bit at the $45 price since many simple fans are half the price. I went ahead and bought it spur of the moment.

I'm certified in disaster recovery and this Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900 would be an excellent fan to more quickly dry an area which potentially could be at risk for mold if left for more than 48 hours. Not bad for an impulse purchase!!
